Now- there is a lot of Real Estate Agents ( actually I think most of Real Estate practitioners) that claim to be Republicans and seems like they firmly believe in Republican doctrine ( no unions, businesses rule, government shouldn't regulate private companies, etc). So- I can't stop wondering if all those "dreams" came to life, how our Real Estate business would look :

First- no unions- If it wasn't for unions ( well, actually we are getting closer and closer to that) people would make less and less money, working a lot more. Where does it leave Real Estate ? When did you see person making $8.00 an hour to buy house ( well, except in 2004, 2005, 2006 and that was not real market)? That would leave us with investors and rich, rich rich  and what is percentage of that ?

Second- Capitalism rules ( without any regulation)- hmmmm- again 2005. Also imagine- energy company finds out that in your city there is Huuuge amounts of underground  gas    . Remember- no regulation. So, company finds owner of land, buys land and starts to drill ( or whatever they do to get gas out).  everything is OK at the beginning- lots of jobs, great. But in few years things start happening- people get sick, instead of water your faucet is "pouring fire", etc ( and this is not- maybe, it actually happens in states where there is no regulations) . Guess what happens to values of Real Estate ?
