I have this weird feeling that a lot of big companies will take advantage of this downturn and will make even more money. How?

Taking advantage of small people. And it is happening. Company that I know is not losing money( maybe making a little less than they did two years ago, maybe). But CEO still called a meeting for employees( not management, but also not entry level positions -our Middle Class) and cut everybodys hourly rate about two dollars. Why ? Just because they can, just because it is so easy to explain to people" Ohhh, it is bad economy, we have to save...."

There is nobody that can fight for them, because even talk about union brings hell from CEO, manager, supervisor" You will see, you all are going to get fired if you bring union to this place".
