In  " The Palm Beach Post" today on front page I noticed article about changing Real Estate market in Port St Lucie, about multiple offers, about houses going "under contract " on first day on the market. For anybody who is interested in buying home  this year, I have some good news. In stimulus package that was just approved ,there is a little provision for first time home-buyers. I you purchase home between January first of 2009 and December first 2009 you will get $8,000 tax credit on your 2009 tax return (remember ,tax credit means you are getting extra $8,000 from government). Las year it was $7,500 and you would have to repay it ( $500 every year would be deducted from your tax return). If you purchase home this year, it will be your money ( no repayment). And if you worry that it won't be your first home ever- don't. First time home-buyer means you couldn't own property in the last 2 or 3 years( I am not sure exactly)

Please, call your CPA to confirm, I am not writing this blog as specialist on taxes, I am writing it to tell you.......It is time to buy.
